Aberdare National Park
| View Map | The Aberdare National Park covers the Aberdare Range of mountains. The high altitude makes the park different to the typical savannah of most Kenyan parks and creates a cool alternative to the traveler. The range consists of beautiful indigenous mountains, bamboo forests and moorland. The forest is rich in wildlife; elephant and rhino, warthogs, bushbuck, waterbuck, buffalo and the giant forest hog are all to be abundant. Three species of monkey, Sykes', Vervet and the black and white Colobus monkey are also commonly seen.

| View Map | | | Amboseli
| View Map | | | Amboseli National Park
| View Map | Amboseli National Park is at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. 112 miles from Nairobi the park provides breathtaking views of wildlife and Mount Kilimanjaro and creates the finest photogenic backdrop to a game park. Much of Amboseli is dry and desert like. In dramatic contrast to the dry areas of Amboseli, there are two swamps both fed by underground streams from the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. Wildlife on the plains of the park are easy to spot. Elephants, buffaloes, lion, gazelle, cheetah, wildebeest, hyenas, jackal, warthog, giraffe, zebras and baboons are all easily spotted.
| | Giraffe Manor
| View Map | Situated on 140 acres of land just a few miles from the center of Nairobi, the Giraffe Manor is home to the endangered Rothschild giraffe. It is the only place in the world where you can enjoy the experience of feeding and photographing the giraffe over a breakfast table. The property is also home to many species of birds, large families of warthogs and the elusive Bush Buck. For an overnight stay, the manor offers six fully furnished luxurious en-suite bedrooms.
| | Hell's Gate National Park
| View Map | Situated in the vicinity of Lake Naivasha, the Hell’s Gate National Park is well known for its natural hot geysers and is distinguished by its diverse topography and geological landscape. Although lesser in size compared to most African parks, Hell’s Gate offers a small but wide variety of wildlife and over 103 species of birds including the rare lammergeyer eagle. It is also one of the few game reserves where you can explore the area on foot.
| | Karen Blixen Museum
| View Map | Located on the outskirts of Nairobi, the museum was once home to Karen Blixen, a baroness and Danish author best known for her book ‘Out of Africa’ which has been adapted into a highly acclaimed motion picture of the same name. The grounds of the museum are well-kept and provide a serene environment that seems to belong to the past, surrounded by a tranquil garden and indigenous forest. Much of the original furniture is now on display in the house.
| | Laikipia
| View Map | Laikipia plateau in central Kenya is the last stronghold of romantic East Africa: vast open ranches, shadowed by snow-capped Mt. Kenya, home to ethnically diverse communities including the Mukogodo Maasai and Samburu. This spectacular region is considered the gateway to Kenya's wild Northern frontier country. Wild & sparsely populated, much of Laikipia is covered by large privately owned ranches. These ranches cover a wide range of landscapes, with high plains and low forested valleys. On most ranches cattle share the land with free ranging wildlife.
| | Lake Naivasha
| View Map | Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s few freshwater lakes, is located in the Great Rift Valley and is home to a great variety of birds, wildlife and a sizable population of hippos. The area around the lake is also known for its population of European immigrants and settlers. It is on the shores of this lake that Joy Adamson, the author of “Born Free”, lived in the mid 1960s.
| | Lake Nakuru
| View Map | Lake Nakuru is a soda lake on the basin of the Rift Valley. It is surrounded by a national park - Lake Nakuru National Park - that contains a wealth of bird life and a surprisingly large population of animals. With over 400 species of birds, this park is known as "the greatest ornithological spectacle on earth". The main attraction to this national park is the large concentration of nearly two million flamingos that flock seasonally to feed on the blue-green algae. The views within the national park are also spectacular. A magnificent and breathtaking sunrise can be seen from the top of the Baboon Cliffs.
| | Masai Mara
| View Map | | | Masai Mara Game Reserve
| View Map | | Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve is a mosaic of Africa's diverse wildlife. The Masai Mara is one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed. This is Africa's finest wildlife sanctuary. The northern tip of the Serengeti hosts a spectacular seasonal migration across the Mara. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent year round. Game includes: savanna elephant, Black Rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, hartebeest and the big cats; the rivers are home to hippo and crocodiles, 452 bird species, 53 of which are raptors. Nowhere else in Africa is wildlife more plentiful than in the Masai Mara, fabled for its great concentrations of gazelle and antelope and their natural predators - the big cats. | | Meru
| View Map | | | Meru National Park
| View Map | Meru National park became famous because it was here that Joy Adamson set her Lioness Elsa free, and because in this park the last white Rhinos in Kenya lived until 1988. The park has now fully re-opened to visitors since early 2000 and offers unique and luxury accommodation. This area is a transition point from Central Kenyan to Northern Kenyan fauna, and you can see here Burchell’s zebras, Grevy zebras, Masai and Reticulated giraffes, Grant gazelles and gerenuks. The park is crisscrossed by numerous streams and by the Tana River, the longest in Kenya, all of which attract an interesting variety of animals. There are crocodiles, hippos and waterfowl as well as herons.

| View Map | | | Mt Kenya National Park
| View Map | | | Mt. Elgon National Park
| View Map | Together with the fauna and flora, Mt. Elgon National Park is endowed with variety and breathtaking scenery of cliffs, caves, waterfalls, gorges, mesas, calderas, hot springs, and the mountain peaks. The most popular areas are the four vast caves where frequent night visitors such as elephants and buffaloes come to lick the natural salt found on the cave walls. Kitum cave, with overhanging crystalline walls, enters 200 miles into the side of Mt. Elgon. The breathtaking natural beauty of the park can be best appreciated from the Endebess Bluff where one gets a panoramic view of the areas' escarpments, gorges, mesas, and rivers.
| | Mt. Kenya Safari Club
| View Map | One of Kenya’s best-known properties, Mount Kenya Safari Club is steeped in colonial history, with a past as colorful as its magnificent gardens. Originally built as a dream home by a wealthy New Yorker for her young French aviator husband, it quickly became a main focal point for the ‘Happy Valley’ set of the 1930s. In 1959 William Holden and two friends turned it into one of the most exclusive clubs in the world with founding members including Sir Winston Churchill, Lord Louis Mountbatten, Robert Ruark, Lyndon Johnson, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. The Club still retains its gracious charm with manicured lawns sweeping to the foothills of Mount Kenya - an ideal stop-off for relaxation in between safaris. There are a variety of distractions for those staying at the Club – horseback riding, golf, trout fishing, tennis, visiting the adjacent wildlife sanctuary (base for the successful breeding program of endangered bongo antelope), or just walking in the beautiful grounds. For those seeking total repose there is a heated swimming pool and a health and beauty center.
| | Nairobi
| View Map | Kenya's mile-high capital is only 90 miles south of the equator. Founded by the British a little more than 100 years ago, the city now has a population of more than 2 million. It is a modern commercial center with some interesting high-rises and lots of bustle. Visitors can find things not so common in other parts of Africa, such as theaters showing the latest movies, expensive restaurants serving every type of cuisine, as well as email facilities, faxes and any other sort of modern technology you may need to use.
| | Ol Pejeta
| View Map | | | Samburu Game Reserve
| View Map | The Samburu Game Reserve covers an area of 65 square miles on the northern bank of the Uaso Nyiro River, with a river frontage of 10 miles. In addition to the rugged splendor of its landscape the very name "Northern Frontier Province" conjures an image of mystery and adventure. The permanent water available from the river creates oasis and ensures an abundance of wildlife with the main attractions being the unique fauna found only here; Reticulated giraffe, Grevys Zebra, Beisa Oryx, the blue-necked Somali ostrich and the Gerenuk. Lions and leopards are also spotted frequently.
| | Shaba
| View Map | | | Shaba National Reserve
| View Map | Shaba is a place for the connoisseur, where the quality of the experience exceeds the quantity of wildlife. The reserve takes its name from a massive cone of volcanic rock which dominates the region and evidence of the intensity of its upheaval is demonstrated by the formidable lava flow which the traveler has to cross to reach the reserve and the lodge. The Reserve's northern boundary is marked by the wide, sauntering motion of the Ewaso Ngiro on its way to Chanler's Falls and beyond to its final destination at the Lorian Swamp & the tall doum palms. Many small hills dot the landscape and with four springs Shaba is better watered than its neighbors.
| | Tsavo East
| View Map | | | Tsavo National Park
| View Map | The combination of Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks make it the largest game area in Kenya. They are only separated by the Nairobi - Mombasa highway. Tsavo East is slightly larger, flat and dry and is one of the last remaining wilderness and biodiversity strongholds in the world. Tsavo West, on the other hand, has a more varied topography and a more diverse array of habitats including open plains, bush, semi-desert scrub, woodlands, rocky ridges, lava flows and a volcanic crater. Along with game-viewing, the park is famous for the Mzima Springs, an underwater hippo observatory.
